How To Set Up Automatic Text Messages for Abandon Carts

Tips for your automatic text message:

  • Don’t make your customer guess who is texting them. Mention your company name somewhere in the text to build trust.
  • Insert a brief call-to-action. Tell them what you want them to do with the items left in their cart – finalize their order with your company.
  • Offer a coupon code. If you’re willing to offer a discount, this is a great place to offer it to encourage your customer to return to their cart and book with you today. Make sure to create the coupon code in ERS before sharing the code.
  • Add a link to your website. Direct your customer directly to their abandoned cart so they pick-up right where they left off with ease using ((MANAGE_EVENT_TEXT_LINK)) in place of your website!
  • If you decide to test your messages, and changed your “Minutes to Send Incomplete Order Alert” to 1, be sure to change it back to your desired time for customers (10-15 minutes is ERS recommended).
